Hydrodynamic Bearings
High Temp Bearings Inc. hydrodynamic bearings can sustain much higher loads and speeds than a similarly sized roller bearing.
They offer some of the lowest possible friction torque levels during operation and generate their own pressurized oil film which fully separates the shaft from the bearing surface eliminating wear.Lubrication is mechanically drawn from the housing sump or from an external circulated oil system insuring that a continuous supply of oil to the bearing is present.
They are engineered to operate safely at 400˚F and do not require cooling, such as water or high pressure air, saving thousands of dollars annually. Furthermore, improved reliability is achieved through the elimination of water lines, water line to housing seals, internal oil contamination due to condensation, and external oil chillers, all required with standard sleeve oil bearings.
